OUR MISSION
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ promotes agriculture by hosting an annual, family-friendly experience that educates and entertains the public, supports Texas youth, showcases Western heritage and provides year-round educational support within the community.
AGRICULTURE
Since 1932, the Houston Livestock Show has encouraged and promoted the breeding, raising and marketing of the livestock industry in the Texas Gulf Coast region. Today, it is the world’s largest and most prestigious livestock exhibition.
ENTERTAINMENT
Pay tribute to the entertainers that have performed on the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Star Stage, starting with Gene Autry in 1942.
EDUCATION
Since the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo began in 1932, more than $600 million has been committed to the youth of Texas and education.
WESTERN HERITAGE
The RODEOHOUSTON® Super Series is a 20-day tournament-style competition that crowns an event champion in bareback riding, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, and women’s barrel racing and breakaway roping.
